I used a lot of other people’s resources to make this blog and improve my photography, so I figure I would list them here in case someone finds them helpful too 🙂 I’ll try to update this as I go along!

Web host and domain name
I use BlueHost, which after looking through a lot of sites seems to be the best beginner host. The price is pretty affordable (starts at $3.95/mo for the basic option) and includes your domain name. It’s easy to set up with WordPress.

Blog software and set-up
Minimalist Baker has a really helpful guide with videos for how to start your blog with the set up of the Genesis/Foodie Pro theme (what I use here), and little customizations to get you started. I literally watched every video to start this blog. They also have a great Resources page that I used too.
Cookie and Kate also has a really helpful step by step guide with plug in and other resource suggestions.
Chelsea’s Messy Apron has a great Ebook that was a really nice step by step walk-through of the things to do as you start a blog to set yourself up for future success whether it be traffic or income.
Food Blogger Pro– An essential food blogger membership site started by Pinch of Yum with videos and a forum. They have a great podcast talking to different bloggers and other experts for ways to improve your blog and also just life skillz ;P They have a limited membership opening but I managed to just get in! 🙂
Plate to Pixel book from Helene of Tartelette- an amazing book about food photography. There’s great pictures throughout to help you understand the importance between different settings and lighting set-ups. Her food styling is so beautiful and inspirational.
Food Photography Club– Really great website with videos to walk you through the basics including camera, set up, tripod, and a forum for you to get personal help and feedback! I just signed up and enjoying it so far 🙂
Adobe Lightroom tutorial from No Recipes- Really great step by step tutorial for beginners to start processing photos in Lightroom. I really only process all my photos this way still.
